Writing Competition

2008 Results are now online click here to view!

We would like you to write a rap, poem, letter, advert, anything to persuade others to take action and make a difference

Categories: There will be 3 categories:

  • Under 7 years
  • 7-11 years
  • 12-18 years

Theme: " My Footprint...Our World".

One small step..
Your carbon footprint, re-cycling, saving energy, reducing traffic pollution, protecting the environment.. what can you do or persuade those around you to do to make a difference. Perhaps your idea may be a small one but if you got lots of people to do it -the result could be huge. What would you like to persuade all your neighbours/family/school/town/village to do? What would you do to make Henley or your village greener? You may have an idea for your home or even to solve Henley's traffic problems!

Act local but think global!

These are just a few thoughts but of course, you can interpret our theme in any way you wish!

We discovered that the national We Are What We Do Campaign has a very similar theme so are working alongside them. If you have an idea you can represent it in any media whatsoever and enter their competition which closes December 19th and then. enter it again for our competition which closes February 15th 2008.

Their theme is 'small action x lots of people = BIG CHANGE'
