Allen Beechey's Bright Stars of Jazz
Each recital is between 60-70 minutes. The session is a classroom recital, involving the students in dialogue and rhythm work. The session aims:

To provide a brief history of the origins and first fruits of jazz in New Orleans

To give an understanding of the role of each instrument in the band

To show how a melody is 'jazzed up'

To familiarise the students with four or five jazz students
