Stonor Run

Lord and Lady Camoys have kindly given permission for the Cross Country Run to be held at Stonor Park.

 

Date: Saturday 24 March 2012

Time: 10.00am - 12.00 noon   Medal ceremony 11:45am

Venue: Stonor Park 

 

Trinity School are organising this event for local primary schools and will liaise with teachers to book spaces for the runners.

Races are for children in school years 3-6

 

Thank you also to the Higgs Group and Henley Standard for sponsoring a medal for every runner and to new sponsors, The Quince Tree in Stonor, for sponsoring the winners’ medals.
 

 

Runners should arrive at least 30 minutes before their race. Latest time to walk the course – 9:15am

10:00am Year 3/4 Girls 1 mile approx. (1.6km approx)

10:20am Year 3/4 Boys 1 mile approx.

10:40am Year 5/6 Girls 1.2 miles approx (1.9km approx)

11:00aYear5/6 Boys 1.2 miles approx.

11:45am (approx) Medal Ceremony Awards for individuals and school teams - please stay and applaud the winners!

  • The course is over fairly rough ground and is suitable for studs (football boots) or trainers. NO SPIKES PLEASE

  • Refreshments can be purchased

  • Toilets, designated parking and first aid cover are provided

  • Spectators are very welcome (dogs MUST be kept on a lead as Stonor is a deer park)

  • Once races have started runners have priority over cars and Marshals will hold up traffic

  • The course is adequately marshalled and spectators are not allowed to pace runners around the course

Spectators and runners should please be aware of the following:

  • Children must be supervised at all times

  • Keep away from the House area

  • Do not climb trees or play on the standing stones

  • Please do not interfere with the flora and fauna of the Park
