Masterchef Entry details
Henley’s Hotel du Vin, the Henley Youth Festival and the Henley Standard invite all budding junior chefs to enter the culinary competition of the year!
your own recipe - can be starter, main course or dessert using seasonal, fresh and high quality locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Shortlisted finalists will be invited to Hotel du Vin on March 17th for a prize-giving ceremony. The winning recipe(s) will be put onto the Hotel du Vin bistro menu and the winner will be invited back with their families as Henley’s Junior food critic to assess the quality and choice of dishes for the kids menu in the future!
Competition Rules
The entries will be judged in two categories:
Junior (school years 3-6) and Senior (years 7-13). Anyone attending a school participating in the Henley Youth Festival, or living in Henley or a nearby village in South Oxfordshire can enter the competition.
• Entrants must submit a bistro style recipe (a starter, main course or dessert) in writing, including the name of the dish, ingredients, cooking methods and ideas for presentation
• Recipes must be seasonal, fresh, of high quality and using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible eg products from local farms

Photographs: A photographer will be present at many events during the Festival Week and may be present during the Prize Ceremony. Photographs will be available to purchase on a restricted website shortly after the event. To purchase photos, please email hyfphotolink@btconnect.com. Photos and video may be used in promotional material and on this website. Should parents have any objection to your child's photo or video of your child being used, please notify us by email a.staley@btconnect.com
