Art Entry Details

Q: When is the closing date?
A: March 12th 2010

Q: Will my work be displayed?
A: The winning entries and those with special commendations will have their own show for one week at the Henley Exhibition Centre from 26th March – 31st March 2010. Any winners work too large for the Exhibition Centre will be displayed in photographic form in the show or will be included in the ‘Imagine... in the Square’ art event on Saturday 20th.

Q: Are there any size restrictions for my artwork?
A: Not really, but please let Charlotte or Jane, details below, know if you are planning something Big!

Q: Who can enter?
A: The entries will be judged in two categories:
Junior (school years 1-6) and Senior (Yr 7 -13)

Anyone attending a school participating in the Henley Youth Festival, or living in Henley or a nearby village in South Oxfordshire can enter the competition.

Q: How do I enter my piece of artwork into the competition?
A: You can either take your artwork to your school where it will be collected, or post/deliver to:
45 Northfield End, Henley, RG9 2JJ. Remember to include your name, age, address, telephone number and if possible an email address so we can contact you.

Q: Will there be prizes?
A: Yes, there will be prizes for both the Junior and Senior categories. Entries will be judged on imagination, creativity, innovation and interpretation of the theme. Prizes will be awarded at a ceremony at the Exhibition Centre on Sunday 28th March.

Q: Will photographs be taken of my work?
A: An official HYF photographer will take photographs of some of the artworks and of prize winners, either in the Exhibition Centre or in Falaise Square, but this is not guaranteed. These will be available to purchase on a restricted website shortly after the event by emailing: hyfphotolink@btconnect.com. Photos and video may be used in promotional material and on the HYF website. Should parents have any objection to your child’s photo or video of your child being used, please notify us by email: a.staley@btconnect.com.
