About the Henley Youth Festival
Steering Committee

What is the Youth Festival? A chance for young people to participate in a wide range of activities;
from drama and dance, rugby and rowing, to music and photography. We take over the local theatre, the Kenton, for a week, to give young
people the chance to be a star on a real stage.
There are hotly contested inter-schools sports competitions, shows, workshops and competitions for individuals.
So don't wait, enter something.
What's New? We've got loads of events planned, including some hot new ones. We are giving you a chance to make a movie and enter it into our brand new > Film Competition. We have a new Art Competition and instead of poetry this year we want you to try your hand at writing. Find out more by clicking on competitons. Watch out for a wonderful singing event when local school children will be brought together under Alfie Hay who will conduct them singing a cantata.
2008 Theme - 'My Footprint........Our World' runs throughout the Festival, but in particular for film, writing,art, design and photography competitions. It can also be used as an idea for dance. Click on Theme for more information.
The HEDFAS art workshops involve children working co-operatively to produce art work which will be displayed at the River and Rowing Museum.
