Big Foot Theatre Company Presents 'Cool It!'
Big Foot Theatre Company is bringing their interactive show 'Cool It!' to the River & Rowing Museum.
'Cool It!' is an hour-long show, which aims to change young people's attitudes to the environment and climate change in a positive, creative way.
Cool It! Aims to:
· Inform: climate change is real; this is how it happens and what it means
· Enable: make sure young people know what they can do individually and collectively to take action against climate change
· Encourage: making sure young people feel enthusiastic, informed and supported in addressing climate change
· Inspire: you need to take ownership. It's your future!
The show explores a day in the life of a student, highlighting the actions, which have an effect on the climate and our environment. It imagines what the student's lives would be like in the future if they don't take action now and suggests changes schools and students can make to become more environmentally responsible.
The programme is accompanied by a comprehensive CD ROM resource pack, which includes detailed plans of the sessions, allowing teachers to adapt the techniques for future work.
